Sponsorship disclosure
What the labels mean, and what money does and does not buy here.
SPONSORED means cash was paid
The word appears in one situation only: a company paid to be there. It is never used for a product we happen to like, a partnership, a trade, or a favour. If you see it, money changed hands.
We take no commission on anything
CRED uses no affiliate links. Not labelled ones, not disclosed ones — none. If a link appears in an issue it is because the thing at the end of it is worth an agent's time, and we earn nothing whichever way you click.
That is a simpler promise than a labelling policy, and an easier one to keep. The only money CRED takes is for the featured slot, which is always marked Sponsored.
No sponsor enters editorial
Sponsors do not see items before publication, do not suggest items, and do not get items softened. There is no rate at which that changes. If a sponsor is genuinely the news, the item runs and carries a disclosure line saying they are a current sponsor — including when the news is bad for them.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, the correction runs at the top of the next issue, plainly, and stays in the archive. It is not buried at the bottom and the original is not quietly edited.
Ownership and related businesses
Canadian Real Estate Daily is owned outright by Thom Van Dycke. It is editorially and commercially separate from every other business he is involved with.
The list
Subscriber data is never sold, rented, or shared with sponsors. Sponsors receive aggregate click reporting and nothing that identifies a reader.
